Bandwidth and Disk Space

Info: This article applies to Website Builder purchases made after 14th January 2025. For further assistance, please contact our support team.

Through your website builder, you can access bandwidth and disk space statistics

What is Bandwidth?

Bandwidth (or traffic) refers to the total data transferred between our servers and your visitors’ devices. This includes all page content, such as text, images, and other files required to display your site. The more pages a visitor views, the more data is transferred, increasing the total bandwidth usage. Additionally, data is transferred when you edit your website.

Disk Space

Disk space refers to the storage allocated for your website’s content. Each website has a set amount of disk space, allowing you to upload various content. However, your site is not intended to function as file storage; the more content you upload, the faster you may reach your bandwidth limit. Disk space usage also includes data from email accounts and website backups. If your site hosts large files that will be frequently downloaded, we suggest using an external storage service, such as Google Drive, for hosting and sharing those files.

Getting Started

To get started, you first need to log into the web builder through your Online Control Panel. Unsure how to do so? Follow our guide HERE

How do I see my used bandwidth and storage?

You can monitor your current usage of bandwidth and disk space by clicking the SETTINGS button at the top of the website editor. The General tab provides information about the status of both indicators.

Note: Bandwidth and disk space are closely related. The larger the amount of content on the website, the more bandwidth you will use. This applies in particular to photos and background videos.

The recommended image resolution for your site is 900x600px, with each JPG file ideally around 250KB in size. Higher-quality images take up more disk space, which can lead to slower loading times. To ensure fast page load speeds and minimize bandwidth usage, it’s best to upload smaller, optimized images.
